Tatiana Tift is a Brooklyn-based writer, director, assistant director, and arts educator that has experience working across dance, narrative and experimental documentary short films. Originally from New Jersey, Tatiana has a diverse background in the creative field, in both the visual and performing arts as a previous theater actor and dancer. 

Her creative work touches on themes of absurdism and fantasy centering around identity and environment.


Her whimsical approach to storytelling has granted her three award-winning short films, el campo (2024), DAWN (2023), Penny for your Thoughts (2023). She is currently in pre-production for her next short, which centers around the early 20th century Black Vaudeville and dance marathons. Since graduating from the School of Visual Arts, Tatiana has been traveling, freelancing, and teaching photography/filmmaking to elementary and middle schoolers throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan.
